~ Join our "Remind101" group. Remind101 is a service we use to send out quick reminders about events going on at school. You can receive the reminders via text, email, or both! There are two ways to join:
**You can unsubscribe at anytime if you wish. Reply to a Remind101 text using "@6f7b unsubscribe" or email: firstname.lastname@example.org and put "unsubscribe" in your subject line.
~ Mossy Head School will have activities and procedures for the involvement of parents. These activities and procedures will be planned and operated with meaningful consultation with parents.
~ Parents can be members of a variety of committees: District Advisory Council (DAC), Parent Advisory Council (PAC), and School Improvement Team. Our PAC assists in developing the Parent Involvement Plan and Parent/Teacher/Student Compact, as well as determining how best to spend parent involvement funds.
~ MHS hosts a variety of Parent Involvement Activities that will give parents ideas to use when working with their children at home. These include: annual Title I meeting; academic parent trainings (Reading/Writing, Math, Science), PreK transition meeting, and Parent Resource Center (PRC) trainings.
~ MHS offers flexible meeting/activity times, including morning, afternoon, and evening. Childcare and food are provided at meetings/activities when possible. Examples include: Academic Parent Teacher Team Nights; Parent Resource Center Trainings; PTO, DAC, SIT, and PAC meetings; Muffins with Mom and Doughnuts with Dad.
~ MHS provides materials and trainings to parents and staff including: Florida Standards, Assessment Information (state and local), Academic Parent Teacher Team Nights, Staff training for Effective Parental Involvement and Communication.

Focus Parent Portal
The Walton County School District is now offering parents access to their children’s information. Your connection to students’ education/academic information is now available online.You will be able to view your children’s data in these areas:
- Student Grades
- Daily Attendance
- Teacher email account for each class
- School messages and upcoming events
- More options available later in the year

- Once the registration process has been completed, you will have to present yourself, with at least one photo ID, to your children’s school office for approval. Once your request has been approved you will have access to the Parent Portal at the following site:
