Superintendent Hughes has announced that per Governor Rick Scott's decree all Walton County Schools will be closed Friday, September 8 - Monday, September 11, 2017. Students and staff should plan to return on Tuesday, September 12, 2017. If you have any questions regarding extra-curricular activities please see your specific school's website. Please continue to monitor media outlets and the Walton County School District webpage for up-to-date information.

Superintendent Hughes is keeping in constant contact with community partners and the Governor of Florida to make sure he has the most up-to-date information regarding the weather. It is his goal to make sure that the students of Walton County are kept safe and parents are provided with information concerning district actions in a timely manner.
