MHS Champions!

April 4, 2022

Mossy Head School 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders felt the love and support from their fellow Mustangs during an FSA pep rally. PreK - Second grade students and staff lined the hallway to cheer the older students on as they entered the cafeteria. Once inside, they enjoyed some spirit building performances and activities. We know they are going to rock the FSA like the champions they are! Go Mustangs!

This is a message from Superintendent Russell Hughes. After consulting with local weather expert, we are cancelling all Walton County schools for tomorrow, Tuesday, April 5th, due to severe weather. Closures include students and staff. Extra-curricular activities and SPICE will also be cancelled. Walton County School District will continue their collaborations with local experts to monitor the weather. Please continue to check our district and schools’ media platforms. Stay safe.

Don't Stop Dreaming!

The Mossy Head School Odyssey of the Mind Team has had a very successful year and we are so proud of them! The Division I team chose Problem #5: Life is A Circus! for their long-term problem for this year's competition. After months of practice and preparation, they placed 2nd at the Emerald Coast Odyssey of the Mind Regional Tournament. The team was then invited to go to the Odyssey of the Mind State Tournament in Orlando, FL. Again, they made us proud! They placed 9th out of 15 other teams in their division and problem group, 1C. They placed 15th out of all 30 teams total that competed in division 1, problem 5.

*Each team must present a long-term problem solution and a spontaneous problem solution to be scored by judges.
